Levi's x Doug Aitken

Client: Levis
Role: Creative Director
Agency: Fake Love / AKQA

Along with a great team at Fake Love NY, I led creation of physical tools & spaces for artists for a cross country event curated by Doug Aitken and sponsored by Levis. Four antique objects were reimagined as web-enabled tools: a 1901 Underwood Twitter typewriter, a 1956 Gibson SoundCloud guitar, a 1939 Bolex Instagram videocam, and 1958 Graflex Instagram 4x5 camera. Each were activated with a special VIP leather wristband with an RFID chip built-in. They traveled aboard the Station to Station train and were used by artists to document the tour from Washington DC to Los Angeles.
